AGENCY NURSE

[ /'a-jent-si ner:sin/ ]

Noun:

Def

1. a nurse employed by an agency rather than by a hospital. Agency nursing offers flexible rostering and nurses can avoid night shifts if they choose. Most agencies pay higher hourly rates than core facility positions and agency nursing means nurses can work in a range of different department/wards improving nursing skills.

WHAT OUR NURSES SAY...

"I love working for I-Nurse for a number of reasons. What you offer is a friendly voice on the other end of the phone that actually cares about my day, my week, my family and me. There is no pressure to do shifts and there are thanks when I can work. I can work where I want, when I want and I can say no when something doesn’t work for me. There is no employer that comes close. Working for people who treat you like friends is not what you get from other employers."

Anne - Registered Nurse

"There is no other agency that can compete with I-Nurse for efficient, friendly and very reliable service; you’re always so delightful on the phone! Thank you for caring so much about your staff. You are awesome."

Tracy - Registered Nurse

"The reason I joined I-Nurse was that I wanted an agency that knew who I was, rather than simply a body to fill a spot.  I also found that having less paper work to fill in for each agency shift done makes life much easier eg. not having to send hospital slips into the agency as well as giving them to the hospital.  I like the fact that you both are approachable and genuinely seem to try to help your staff.  As for improvements I cant think of any, the systems that have been set up for email, internet and texting availabilities and communicating make doing agency much easier."
